  • Yes, only it’s generally unpleasant to say condescending stuff of the “I’ve got you figured out and I see this thing deeper than you” kind to someone who’s very well familiar with the thing in question when you are not.

    And in personal experience

to try and show an interest in something you like

    people ask questions.

Why does every idiot who is not a Star Wars fan think that repeating the normie stereotype about it is very smart? Which is this pic BTW.

Star Wars since the OT and till around 2006 had very clear borders between, 1, that which doesn’t get mentioned, but follows from what’s shown, 2, that which doesn’t get explained, 3, that which is explained by magic, 4, that which has decent, but very roughly cut sci-fi descriptions and, finally, 5, that which is taken seriously.

Disney doesn’t understand how to use any of these categories, especially that core plot points can only belong to #5, that #1 is not just fan imagination, but part of the paradigm, that #2 is not a box for everything lazy, that #3 cannot be center of the plot, and that #4 is still necessary.

  • So why is there no competition arising, simply with some fries, burgers, soda and without this bullshit.

Oh, I remembered, it’s all patented to hell. It’s practically illegal to open a fast food place not in one of these franchises.

Same with many other areas of life. The Web and computers are the most obvious.

Rats and cockroaches have conquered the kitchen. While many people in bureaucracies and everywhere were thieves and parasites, that still wasn’t socially acceptable. They didn’t like it, so now it’s almost official that the world is ruled by thieves and parasites and they are better than honest people. This IMHO also explains all the “geopolitical” stuff happening - it’s not to any practical end, the common thing between all (Western\Russian\whatever) policies is ideological, that decency should be murdered, dignity should be punished, and honesty should be poisoned. All the “rules” and “competition” and “civilization” stuff was (in the eyes of those people) being grown like livestock to be slaughtered for meat eventually.

300 years from now this time is going to be called the start of the new dark ages, or the end of the thaw (Soviet analogy here), or something like that.

  • You’re not different. I didn’t ascribe your position, you literally said you’re insulted because you’ve never done anything to justify that behavior.

I wasn’t this specific, so this statement is false. That someone lives in Japan doesn’t mean they live in Tokyo.

To not completely waste this, I was talking about people who know me and interpret autistic behavior as a sign of danger.

It’s not even about men. I never had that problem with women with the same traits.

You’re the exact type of person I was talking about with the exact point the last 5 have all made. I thought it might be sarcasm because you can’t seriously be trying to assert the same thing they all did on a comment calling them all out for refusing to get it, but here we are.

Calling me a clown is a cheap cop out to deflect

A person saying “you’re the exact type of person” is a clown.

from the fact that your feelings are hurt.

Specifically for clowns - having your feelings hurt doesn’t make you wrong.

  • So is this sarcasm or do you really not understand that it isn’t your right to decide what other people discern as safe vs unsafe?

It’s fully my right to decide what I’m upset about though, and go fight someone else.

with another person whose entire position boils down to “well it hurts my feelings because not all men are bad”

Now with ascribing positions to others you should be used to be called a clown.

EDIT: Also this your comment didn’t seem intelligent or subtle. You may have gotten such a wrong impression of yourself, thus I’m helping you.

  • Like, if I’m walking down a sidewalk and the person walking towards me decides to cross the street because I’m a man, I get it. It’s not hard to grasp that some people don’t want to be close to someone who might objectify them.

I feel insulted because I’ve never hurt anyone in my life enough to even remotely justify this, and also because some men I would be cautious about usually don’t get the same treatment. At least it takes them more time and effort to get it, LOL.
