Apps like signal, and my banking apps, completely blank the screen when you attempt to take a screenshot. This doesn’t prevent the other workarounds people are talking about here, but for the sexting apps they should at least raise the bar

Even without root you can just remove the apps screenshot detection permission with Lucky Patcher or something similiar
