Each of the modern Trek shows, save for Strange New Worlds, has included rogue AI as a major season plot point. Three of them even featured controlled fleets (LD is a stretch, if you count 3 Texas class ships a “fleet”). Technically the crew of SNW was present for one of the rogue AI, but that was still during their “backdoor pilot” phase before they had their own show. I would just hope for a little more communication between writing staff so we don’t get back to back shows using surprisingly similar scenarios. Sure, there are only so many plot devices, but there’s still plenty of unexplored and forgotten (looking at you, conspiracy bugs) territory.
