They didn’t have most of Walking Dead when we looked into it last year. We would have had to sub to maybe 3 services to get a full rewatch.

It’s hard to not sound snarky here, but you could play another system that’s not seen as a commodity to be passed around Corps for profit.
I switched a couple years back, and honestly couldn’t see going back even before their licensing drama. As a GM, their books are so hard to make work, and expensive for what you get. D&D became too much of a product, and the game has suffered. 3rd party stuff has always had better value and usability compared to WotC books (few exceptions), and other systems give much better support for GM’s to actually run the game.
The coolest shit you do in D&D is the stuff you’re group comes up with at the table, and you get that with any system. Tencent also can’t buy that, so there’s nothing stopping you just playing 5th Edition, and not 6th (or One, whatever Marketing ends up calling it).
We have corporate protections in the USA.
There was a short segment on 60 Minutes (maybe?) back in 2020 before the elections where they interviewed someone who had deprogrammed himself from Qanon.
It was the same story. He had no friends IRL, no social support, he had turned his mom onto Qanon and she was still down the rabbit hole.
He said that was the part that kept him in it for so long, even once he started questioning things. All his “friends” and close relations were part of the cult and he would have to cut ties with everyone or worse, they would turn on him and attack him as a traitor.
It would be sad if these online-cults weren’t so damaging to society.

If you don’t like base building, you’re opinion on NMS probably won’t change. I still enjoy it and fire it up a couple times a year, but the gameplay loops haven’t fundamentally changed and the survival elements are still pretty loose. I haven’t played the most recent updates from this year yet though.
Same. I finally got into reading which I’ve been regretting not doing for years. I’ve read 5 scifi novels in the last few months and just dipped my toes into the Discworld series with Mort. I’ve gotten a lot of use out of my kid’s library card lately.
Whenever i find myself doom scrolling lemmy like i would reddit, I’ve gotten in the habit of putting my phone down and reading a chapter of whatever is nearby.
Trying to bump those subscription numbers with teenage girls.
I’m not watching S3, knowing Cavill won’t be back. Not worth investing anymore time. The series is a failure to me.
This is a Polish executive. You’re just parroting other’s opinions.
It’s not that fucking serious.
once you establish a centralized power structure,… it is the literal definition of fascism.
By your definition almost any form of government is fascist. It that’s your opinion, fine, but it’s not the ‘literal definition’.
Spoken like someone with an ideological vendetta.
From what i understand it’s not a very involved process. Not like you have to go to court and all that. File a complaint, give your side, they investigate.
If the labor board finds wrongdoing, the worker could be rewarded 2-3x what the lost wages were, and the company gets put on shitlist somewhere.
I am far from an expert, but i do frequent workers rights spaces for what it’s worth (nearly nothing).
Nah if i see you got 1000 dollar phone, i assume you’re an elitist asshole, or bad with money.
In my head i call it the “Rule of least want to do”. If i have 2-3 tasks that need doing (ususlly work related), i think of which thing i least want to do. That’s the thing i get done, then move down the line.
You’ve just articulated a feeling I’ve had most of my life, but couldn’t have described better.
Solving trivial problems for people they could easily do themselves if they just muddled through the work of it. Then act like I’m a genius, when it’s really just ‘stubbornness’ and refusing to admit i can’t figure it out.
Thanks for that.
Finding heavy armor almost makes you the Terminator. That’s where i lost interest in the combat. Haven’t played in a few years though.
It’s weird… do you think Elliot cares what OP’s pirated copies list their name as, when the legal copies on stream have already updated the name? Would it not be better to pay for the content and support the artist that way?
This is one of the strangest virtue signals I’ve ever seen. Just watch the mediocre show and move on.
