The great attractor. It’s the biggest object we known of, but actually know almost nothing about. and it’s in a spot that’s hard to see through, our galaxy’s center. Almost everything we see in the sky is heading towards that point, hence the name.

Doctors are people too and can make mistakes, but they are highly educated (hopefully through accreditation) and depending how long they have been in practice, experienced. That being said, online educational sources can help get you started if you suspect something is wrong, but don’t try to do a doctor’s work from online research. This includes asking Lemmy/reddit advice.
Steam reviews should be a good place to read about it. Despite what people may say about steam reviews (jokes and brigading), it’s still a good source of info.
It wouldn’t be too hard to go through every archived game and determine if it’s still available through corporate means or not. Those are the ones that are threatened to be erased forever if corpos get their way. The biggest problem is the money and means to fight against corporate goons and lawyers.
Sad to see. Feels like Lemmy has no bright future with people in charge of it thinking russia’s and China’s government is good and ban difference of thoughts, opinions, and beliefs.
OP wants no control of his eyes and computer and wants to give that control to corpos.
It’s an alternative idea for a removable battery that they don’t want to give back to the consumers, not even the steam deck has this. Software updates are nice, but the batteries are still the main limiting factor on a phones usability. I know getting free battery replacements is asking too much, but their dark patterns are as well. Corporations have way too much leeway, power, and protections; I don’t care if they get hit hard with changes that help consumers.
What about the battery? I doubt they support free battery replacements for 7 years…
I see this on all platforms, even steam. Only the negative reviews are culled and labelled ‘review bombing’ by the corpos.
There is nothing premium about glass, that’s marketing lying to you. It’s designed to break easily being smooth and fragile, to make the phones more disposable.
That’s so messed up. Reminds me of trickle-down economics lies.
I think any voting system can be abused or gamed. Reddit’s system created karma-whores. YouTube sucks without downvotes. I have seen game forums with emote voting systems that were abused a bit.
That being said, it would be nice to see something new on Lemmy, to distinguish it from other platforms and maybe promote engagement, something that benefits both positive and negative voting.
Are you able to track bot posts vs regular posts? I wonder if the major drop in posts was bots being stopped.
Almost everything sold in USA is measured in metric and imperial units (technically wrong name, US customary units). You can get by with either.
Also, the measuring by volume can be bad for salts, because different types take up different volume amounts. A tale of two salts by Chef John (foodwishes channel on YouTube) has a nice little video about this: https://youtube.com/watch?v=XGCY9Cpia_A
Do you work at Blizzard?
I think this is part of it. If the speed of light is the speed limit of matter, it would be very difficult to travel anywhere within reasonable amount of time considering norminal life spans of even the longest living things on Earth.
