The moment Russia uses nukes in Ukraine is the moment they get completely fucked by NATO. It’s been pretty clear that nuclear weapons are the reddest of red lines.

And in case of a Russian collapse I guess we’d need some form of UN intervention to secure certain nuclear sites. Really depends on how bad things would go there in such an event though.

WW3 isn’t going to wipe out humans, just the largest population & production centers and with that society as we know it. Or it will be underwhelming as fuck and nothing major happens before everyone sits back down.

If OP walks there frequently then he could also start to befriend them. Offer them some grass, give them some pets & head scratches. Cows are pretty social and usually friendly animals. So if you’re nice to them, they’ll be nice to you too, but most importantly learn that you’re no threat to them.

That makes no sense to me. Imagine blocking users would work the same way and it would just remove links to their profile, but not the stuff the account posts.

It definitely does not block threads from those instances showing up. For example I have lemmy.ml blocked that way and I still get the occasional lemmy.ml threads pop up and have to manually block all the different communities on that instance.

That did not work for me on either kbin nor mbin.

Switched a good while ago already because I felt the development wasn’t really going anywhere. Checked yesterday again and it is 95% spam there and weird federation issues even with its own instance, like kbin.meta only shows 7 month old posts, from within .social, even though there’s clearly new ones. Super weird.

I’m guessing kbin’s original code is going to be deprecated in favor of mbin then. There’s not a whole lot of reasons for a new team to develop it separately.

Really surprised by that. Granted, I logged in yesterday to check and that makes me part of that statistic but it’s like 90% spam there and many places do not federate properly. The kbin.meta magazine, who clearly has newer posts, do not show anything but 7 month old threads from within kbin.social itself. Super weird, but ultimately unusable.
