Heh, I actually started my replay on the Deck yesterday. Bind guard (b iirc) to a back button so you can do it while shooting without accidentally dashing all the time.
R5 is always dodge, B/circle, mostly so I don’t have to claw grip. Rest depend on the game, but usually some mix of face buttons so I can keep thumbs on the sticks while picking up items or changing weapons/items/spells etc, and sometimes with a “hold to use” added in for the same reason.
There is a soundcard in the bluetooth headphones and wires are dirt cheap, it’s not about that. Proper lightning headphones require getting your product certified by apple ($$$) and a special apple chip added in ($$$) because iPhones refuse to connect to devices that aren’t.
But they will connect to all bluetooth devices.
At some point SteamOS has major issues crashing when waking up from hibernation, which is probably why it hasn’t been added as an option. Which is annoying, because if you run out of battery, the deck just dies. At the very least, it should force-hibernate itself before dying.
Or the Seat Mii Electric, it’s even slightly more bare bones than the Citigo-e. Basically the VW group decided that instead of one car with three trim levels, they spread them under three different badges.
Though the dashboard is basically identical in each one (even the e-up) and what’s missing are parking sensors, cruise control, steering wheel buttons and stuff like that, so all of them fit the “not a smartphone on wheels” requirement.
Live Paper is not E-Ink, so it shouldn’t have the same inherent issues with ghosting or refreshing.
E-ink is a very specific display technology with ink particles floating in oil controlled by magnetic fields. They don’t explicitly state what this Live Paper exactly is, but they do state it’s something that solves the downsides of typical reflective LCDs, so, probably one of those but better.
Actual e-inks have the benefit of looking like ink blobs on paper and not square pixels, and the image staying even when power is completely removed, and the massive downside that because they are being physically moved, it actually takes a bit of time so they have terrible refresh rates.
Xen was really rushed and shorter than originally intended in HL1 though, and part of the idea with BM was to flesh it out properly. Might have gone a bit too far, but it was also one of the few places in the project where they could truly come up with something new and unique, and not just redo what Valve had made before them.
NACS is just the standard CCS protocol shoved in the objectively better Tesla plug, and part of making it a standard is the requirement of opening the design for everyone to use. So while the plug is from Tesla, they actually were the ones that switched to the CCS protocol first and dropped their own proprietary system, which is how they were able to open the Supercharger network to other cars in the first place.
And that’s also why NACS is backwards compatible with all current EV chargers that already exist with a simple adapter - either by the driver, or by swapping the cable.

I actually didn’t encounter anyone saying Dark Souls and like games being an ARPG. Dark Souls like games are usually called Souls like.
That is because everyone uses the term “Souls-like”. But if that term isn’t used, then they are all labeled as “Action Role-Playing Games”:

The difference between Valve and almost every other company that suffers from “capitalism” is that Valve is a private company, they don’t have shareholders, investors and an outsider asshole CEO demanding enshittification in the name of exponential growth.
This is basically how radio controlled models using FM TX/RX pairs were coordinated back in the day, there would be a board with each frequency crystal that you would use for your transmitter, and you’d plop the matching one into your model. Reason being that if someone was already flying something and you turned your radio on to the same frequency, they would immediately crash.
Unsurprisingly, some of the posts about this have been removed by the subreddit moderators. That post also originally had a message from the automod that it was removed because it was in violation of rule 7 for posting “intentional misinformation” due to the “developing a very common issue” in the title, but they have since decided to remove that comment as well - didn’t restore the post though.
Now that they don’t have to optimize for last gen console hardware anymore, that’s going to be even more rare for any triple-A game. Even a well optimized PS5 game is going to seriously struggle to run on the Deck as even if you reduce the graphical setting, the PS5 essentially has an 8 core version of the 4 core CPU in the Deck.
Combine that with the 15W shared TDP limit and the game would basically have to be able to run using only roughly 25% the CPU load.
Surprisingly low.
Those 59% with Xbox controllers probably wouldn’t even need to use it, and neither do most of the PS users either as most games would support them natively already.
Though I have to wonder how much of that data is actually accurate - for example my setup would most likely show up as two Xbox controllers, but in reality it’s a Dualshock 3 and Dualshock 4 masquerading as Xinput devices through Vigembus and DS4Windows.
