It’s extremely rare, not particularly well known, difficult to work with, and not very durable. You saw how Darth Bortles’s helmet sustained lightsaber hits but broke from a punch. It has limited usefulness, but Sith armor is one use.

If by “the lightsaber thing” you mean them shorting out, that was awesome. The helmet and wrist guards were made of Cortosis, and I’m happy to see them bring stuff in from the EU.
If the series ended at 5, I’d be mad, because we need to see alternate viewpoints of 3.
I understand. I suggest giving it another chance when it’s finished and you can binge it. I suspect as a complete product it will be better than individual episodes.
But this is 200 years before the fall.
To be pedantic, it’s 132 BBY. So 115 years before the fall.
After 4 episodes, I am now convinced we’ve seen the best this show has to offer and it’s only going to get worse.
I dunno about you, but I thought episode 5 was awesome. Also I’m really excited to see the other side of the story we saw in episode 3. I suspect this show will be better as a binge rather than weekly, because we’ve been burned enough times that we’re quick to assume plot holes are mistakes rather than purposeful setup.
This isn’t the best Star Wars show, but I’m liking it.
I’m not saying it’s good food, I’m saying it’s decent food and good value.
I, personally, would call their Philly Cheesesteak pizza “good” food. Not, like, local restaurant level good. But early days of COVID that was my little bit of sanity. Order a couple pizzas from Dominos delivery on Sunday, eat a slice of each for lunch every day.
Whoa. Was it like, Pequod’s or something?
Dominos turned their shit around like, I dunno, 15 years ago or so. When they started making oven baked sandwiches.
I honestly really like some of their pizzas. It’s not bad. They just know that it used to be, many years ago.
It’s like when Buick made those commercials about how their new cars actually look good so people don’t realize they’re Buicks. When you have a reputation, sometimes it’s a good idea to acknowledge it.
It’s called “preincarnation.”
I remember reading a story in my Spanish lit class about a guy who wasn’t attending church, and his mother was freaking out, so the family priest went to talk to him. And the priest was like, “I totally get it. After all the evil I’ve seen I don’t really believe either. But I continue in this because it is my life, and I can provide comfort to people. Consider attending because you love your mother and it will help her.”
Or which other countries play, but we don’t include them.
Looking at you, baseball.
I think this image needs a bit more compression.
I have a beautiful unicorn pin with a magnet back on my fridge that says “Homeopathic means pretend” from the podcast Sawbones. It makes me smile.
I’ve been enjoying it. There are a few things that feel like plot holes right now, but I suspect that’s because we’re only seeing one perspective, and we’re supposed to think it doesn’t all add up. And when we see the other perspective it’ll make sense.
It’s no Andor, but I like it.
Recently I saw someone complaining that he’ll always be a virgin and will never get laid. In my advice I recommended making changes to improve himself, like being kind and generous, learning to be better socially, and taking up hobbies that involve being around people.
He said I was telling him to “fake himself.”
All of the “just be yourself” and “you’re perfect just the way you are” platitudes are meant to improve confidence, but unfortunately it means some people genuinely don’t think they need to fix things. That they are just, like, owed success from society or something.
Obviously there are aspects that you don’t need to change, like you don’t have to pretend to like things you don’t, and you don’t have to try to change your orientation or identity, but if you’re an asshole you should try to not be an asshole. If you smell bad you should shower. If you suffer from social anxiety there are both medical and practical ways to address that.
No one is perfect. We can all stand to improve things about ourselves and thus progress towards whatever goals we may have. And the more we lie about not needing to change, or indeed not being able to change, the more we let people wallow in self-pity. I don’t have data to back this up, but I suspect this sort of thinking leads in part to the wave of loneliness and incel-ness we see in our society today.
Last I checked I was in the top 100 for the 360° version of a specific song on Beat Saber.
Also in the top 100 on a specific Lady Gaga song on Beat Saber.
But I can only beat two of the Camellia songs on Expert+, so I’m not anywhere near the best. Kinda hit a wall and lost interest, unfortunately.
though a drug is being developed that could allow us to regenerate teeth
I think the last time I was this excited about medical science was the COVID vaccine. How I would love to replace my root canal crowns with real teeth!
“Intelligent design” is the term Young-Earth Creationists use when they want to sound smart while questioning evolution as powered by natural selection.

You can run Stable Diffusion locally on a lot of hardware. Even the iPhone, surprisingly.
CivitAI.com is a good site for free SD generation, but it’s A: sometimes buggy and B: absolutely full of porn. But by default it’s filtered and there is a lot of good SFW content there. This is also a good repository for models for SD.
Mage.space is also good for SD, but it costs money to do anything beyond the most basic generation. I haven’t used it in over a year, so I don’t know what it’s like now, but it was a really good UI. Just couldn’t justify the cost since I can generate locally and for free on CivitAI, especially given that I only generate like, a few images when someone says something I think would be fun to try. And then go a long time without. I’m not creative enough to come up with the really good prompts I see from some people.
Bravo.
