  • See what you can get by putting some subtle feelers out. Talk to a recruiter or two. Best time to search for a job is while you have one, but you don’t have to commit to it full time unless shit really hits the fan. You’re more likely to get written up than fired initially anyway if he’s not the owner, erratic or not he has to answer for that.

Continue working towards whatever certifications you want in the meantime, especially if the job pays/reimburses you for it.

  • This is plausible. That or it’s just a really cheap policy - no windstorm/hail damage is very much NOT normal for homeowners though, even so.

The rest of this is pretty standard stuff and the fact that people seem angry/surprised by it speaks volumes to how little attention they’ve paid to their own policies. Read your paperwork y’all. It’s tedious, but you are also party to the insurance contract that you’re paying for. It can also help you find grey areas of coverage, and a grey area (ambiguous language) tends to work out well for the insured party (you, if you have insurance).

  • Dewalt is still that well regarded? My dad fucking hates them lol we used to have a good amount of their stuff and then tool after tool broke on him and he won’t buy them unless he doesn’t have a better option (he and my brother are HVAC/plumbers). He likes Milwaukee but thinks they’re overpriced, and has a decent amount of Ryobi stuff now, along with Bosch. My grandpa was the Makita man.

I have a lot of Ryobi and Makita hand-me-downs as a result, haven’t really had to buy much of my own yet, but that’s changing.

  • Hmmm. I’ve had rabbit prepared 5 different ways at a very expensive restaurant once (had just gotten a bonus for the first time in my life and it landed on my wife and I’s anniversary). It was fantastic, like dark meat from a turkey or chicken, but a tad gamey which I didn’t mind.

Venison is delicious, as is elk. Buffalo burgers are solid, not much different than regular. I’ve had ostrich jerky but it’s pretty much the same as most other jerkys by that point.

Had shark once, was very good and similar to swordfish.

Funnily enough all of these things I tried in the US, and none while actually traveling abroad despite adventures to most of the continents at this point.

  • The city is it’s own beast, but omfg do I hate the South larpers in upstate and elsewhere! They are so annoying, flying confederate flags and shit when half of em have never even been 50 miles from their home town. You’ll even see some of that shit on Long Island. City people are much more open minded in general at least, it’s just the rent and cost of living that you have to survive. The food, including Southern food when you find it, is also world class in NYC - bad restaurants can’t survive.

Nisky is a cool area, I have some friends there, tho East Nisky has some of that Southern larping as well, it’s nowhere near as bad as it gets in the Southern Tier of NY from my experience as well - the people sharing the border with PA.

  • It’s definitely a turn off for most women imo, especially because of the shit with Justin Roiland (sp?) being a disgusting creep. Anyone who puts it in their profile because they love it that much is just asking to get swiped left on.

    • my wife, who does actually enjoy the show (tho really didn’t like the first season bc they had Rick burping every two seconds and it was gross)
