Salf is the definition of not uniform.
Try a spoonful of table salt instead of sea salt next time and see how well that goes. In grams it does not matter.

Not with salt or anything granular. Liquid is probably fine
Whilst this is nice. I’ve had a color ebook reader for maybe four years. It’s not a new technology.
Anything is better than nothing. This is true. But that doesn’t mean you aren’t wasting your time on something that does the bare minimum.
Duolingo keeps doing mass layoffs, so the bird is overworked. You can help him out by switching to a language learning app that actually helps you learn a language instead of endlessly throwing flash cards at you without teaching you anything! Win win.
It’s a shame to see someone taking the side of big business over a small independent. Google has an effective monopoly on search, they take the content of sites and present it as their own, they also rarely do a good job of fighting SEO to show you things you actually want to see, this is likely a result of SEO winning rather than these guys.
You’re celebrating the big guy and telling the little guy to just live with it. Whoes going to make content when they are all gone.
People who have large collections of physical games, especially things like tg16, often have money to spend on this kind of thing.
It let’s them play their original games and gives a nice enough interface around it
This is a good example of how most of the performance improvements during a rewrite into a new language come from the learnings and new codebase, over the languages strengths.
Ai could be good, great even.
99% of it is being built not to be good, but to replace workers so that corporations can profit more, not to improve anything.
This especially includes all the shitty ai “art”
I sometimes use a snap
If anyone’s interested in the show, there’s three made-for-tv movies and a series.
The first two tv-movies are so bad it’s good entertaining. Everything else is awful. Shatner is barely in the show, but when he is, it’s much better.
Civvie11 on YouTube did a good video about the game as well
They aren’t spending the money to preserve film either. The best case is storing the film in salt mines, and that only slows the degradation. Film isn’t being digitally scanned unless there’s a uhd release to profit from it, and every week that it isn’t scanned, it degrades a little more
The tiktok ban has nothing to do with China and everything to do with America. China is your new red scare.
Regulate your companies, all of them. I wonder how fast this conversation changes when it’s about protecting Americans’ data and privacy rather than getting Americans riled up against communists 2.0
Some games back in the day needed a patch the first week of release and never got one. Famously, the Japanese version of Kirby super star had to be recalled because it was so buggy. Half the intended mechanics in ff6 either don’t work properly or just flat out do nothing.
I really like old games, I have a bunch of old consoles that I play all the time, but this rose tinted view on things has got to go. Old games were buggy, too, they just did less and so had less to fail on.
And up until the ps2/3 era, qa was just the developers testing it themselves.
It doesn’t reduce their tax burden, as they are receiving extra income from your dollar. There’s no tax loophole here.
The benefits to the company come from “look at all the charitable work we did last year”, and sometimes croniesim as op pointed out.
The native apps are functionally webapps, they are not “native”. You should be able to tell that if you “work in mobile”.
A native ui wouldn’t have much or any impact on time to show your dashboard. But it would add an astronomical overhead to the development costs
Jellyfin is 90% plex, and it’s impressive how it comes forward in leaps and bounds, but it’s not better than plex. People just appreciate it more.
If you only need that 90% that it does (and don’t need things like intro detection, conversions, mobile sync, ass/sas subtitles), then you’ll come away super happy with not having to pay plex and not being locked into plex.
It doesn’t really do much over that 90%, it’s just neat that the 90% isn’t plex
Oh okay well if you’ve not had an issue then it can’t be one.
Honestly, what is wrong with the people left on lemmy, why is everyone like this. There was a few months there where you could talk and have a conversation. Then all the good people left and we just get… this.
