Nearly every app should have a warning

So it would be how in the US half of all products have a warning saying they cause cancer thanks to California proposition 65? No thanks.

To be fair, if a naive user is going to get a virus, there’s a very high chance a browser will be involved.

I asked sometime to the prom and got turned down. All I learned was that rejection hurts a lot more than I would have thought.

Warning: sweeping generalizations ahead. These are the kinds of opinions I would normally keep to myself.

Based on what I’ve heard from my Indian coworkers, I think India has a culture of ignoring rules that leads to a lot of government corruption. They praise the ability of many people to hire domestic help, but of course they’re the kind of people who can afford it and not the ones providing it.

Based on what I’ve seen in the news, India has a huge problem with Hindu nationalism, which is basically just Indian flavored fascism from what I can tell.

Based on news about the US, I gather the caste system is so pervasive that rules against caste discrimination are being put in place in some parts of the US with large Indian populations. The caste system appears to be a sight variation of overt racism.

Culturally I view India a lot like I view Brazil, The Philippines, Hungary, and Turkey. Economically I view it as similar to China, only a decade or two behind.

I’m not surprised Indians are irrationally proud of their country; Americans are the same.

That doesn’t describe me or any other programmer I know.

Buddy, let me explain something to you. I do not want children. Ever. If I were married to someone who decided they wanted children, I would for sure get a divorce, because there is no compromise to be made. Having a child is all or nothing. You can’t halfway become a parent.

Of course, anyone I might marry would understand why a divorce is necessary and wouldn’t fight me on it.

They’re talking about wanting children. Disagreeing on that is absolutely an unsolvable problem.

People change. They discover things about themselves. Their goals change. Of course anyone thinking of getting married should try to uncover any potential deal breakers before committing, but it’s still no guarantee they won’t encounter unsolvable problems later.

I’ve lost the ability to stop media playing. Fortunately I have a Google Home with a pause button.

It’s not funny at all if you know any actual cyclists or vegans.

It’s not a “conspiracy theory” when there’s an actual well-documented conspiracy.

It’s a losing strategy politically because people are too fucking dumb to vote against someone holding a gun to their head unless someone else is promising them a unicorn, but as a potential voter, it’s an exceptionally good reason to get off your ass and actually vote for a candidate who can win.

It would be nice but that’s not what’s being decided in this or any other presidential election.
