Yes. In the story the elf here, Frieren, is travelling on foot with humans across the continent they live on. Frieren often wants to stop at towns they come across to rest, or study something local, or wait for favorable conditions, for anywhere from a year to multiple decades. The humans with her constantly have to remind her that a decade is like a 7th or 8th of their lifetime, even if it’s only a few moments for her comparatively.

362·4 months agoAmericans who drink tea generally use a stovetop kettle. Sometimes they use an electric one. But what does it matter how the water gets hot, if the water’s hot? Microwave radiation doesn’t leave a taste in water or something

IMO there are just two questions to ask. Is she in pain? Is she ever going to get better? If the answer to the first is yes, and the second is no, then it’s time.
No way. You’re telling me the afterlife definitely exists, they’ll wish me back to regular life if/when I die, I can make buzzsaws that can cut through anything, I can fly, and I get a shot with Android 18? Fucking sign me up.
I don’t think anyone blames the story or the narrative director, I’m just leery about starting up the hype train again.
