When I was picking out which search engines or “plugins” to install, I visited most of the sites on the list and chose the ones I had heard of plus some other ones that looked like they were for English content. Some of the sites were clearly for other languages or for niches like anime, so just pick out whichever ones are relevant to your interests and then you’ll be able to search all of their databases instantly without dealing with their terrible websites and just get the magnet link.

Have you tried using the search engine built into qBittorent? For example, here is what it looks like when searching for Paw Patrol S01:

Check out TrackerControl on the F-Droid app store. It lets you block Internet access to individual apps and selectively block trackers and other analytics. It does this by acting as a VPN in the android OS so it won’t work while on another VPN but that’s good enough for my needs.

Thank you for creating and maintaining this space for us, I’m grateful for you and all of the other people working to keep things running and improving on lemmy. It is becoming harder and harder to find spaces for discussions that aren’t corporate owned.

I cap my bandwidth at 50% of my max upload and download speed during the day and 80% of max during night when I’m usually asleep using qBittorrent’s schedule feature.

It mostly bothers me when I just order 1 entree and a water. At one place that might cost $10, and at another place it might cost $30, and all the wait staff did was carry a plate from the kitchen to me in both cases.

It doesn’t seem fair that the wait staff at the more expensive place gets tipped more than the less expensive place just because of an arbitrary custom.

The extra cost of the expensive meal is mostly due to ingredients, the cooking process, the location, and maaay slightly more complicated table setting.

Yes it was annoying how our families kept bringing up how we “got lost on the mountain” during the trip and we kept having to remind them that we weren’t lost, just hiking!

This is like when I was 11 and my family went hiking up a mountain in Yellowstone. My young cousin and I thought my brother was ahead of us on the trail so we hurried up trying to catch up to him. We were passing many hikers on a busy trail and being safe.

An hour later my brother comes running up behind us saying everyone is looking for us! Apparently the park rangers had been mobilized to search for us, the missing children, and when we got down the mountain an hour or more later our families were down there in tears fearing we had fallen off the mountain or something.

Point being, it’s totally possible for everyone to think you’re lost and in danger when you are fine and know exactly where you are.

Yeah, the last time I went to a chiropractor for back pain, they also “corrected” my neck which in the past felt good but this time it just immediately pulled a muscle in my neck and left me in pain and barely able to turn my head for weeks.

It’s better now, but I’ll never go back to a chiropractor again because of the risk of making things worse for essentially no benefit.

Whether it’s a surprise or not, users don’t have a choice of what platform is most popular or effective at getting work. Many applications for gigs ask for links to your social media, it’s the default portfolio that many clients look for.

All that artists can do is diversify to other platforms which have the same issues, and make a personal website which will probably get almost no traffic.
