We didn’t really get more of the TNG side of things with the TNG movies. Then they moved on to JJA Star Trek, which wasn’t much of anything, not dark, not utopian, just references.

It took bringing back Picard himself to approach doing what they once did decades ago. And I guess not let the actor have too much say over the script, if that’s what messed up the movies.

Shows how broken the internet was and still is, basically the homeland of the internet is incapable of building pages that comply with basic regulation.

Death should be the equalizer, but then there’s generational wealth. If people are born into wealth inequality, if wealth inequality can grow from one generation to the next, the system is broken.

Yeah, that can’t be a community or open source project. Maybe the result can be open source and free to implement, but even if you can artificially generate the training data, that all has to be a strictly controlled process.

Talk shows and podcasts rarely need video. I often prefer podcasts because they’re made for audio, rather than similar style videos where they seem to want to do something visual just because they can, not because it enhances the experience.

Work meetings don’t need video either, especially not a video feed of every single participant.

A bit annoyed about defederations and community blocks. If an instance wants to be an island by itself, fine, but you shouldn’t have to stay up to date with random announcements from each instance to figure out all the places you need to have an account to access all the content you want to.

I’d rather have dead communities that can be revived than someone being able to block the names from being used on other instances.
