Jerboa works fine… except when I have to search for something. Why is ‘search’ not a ‘search post/comments’ function but a ‘search community’ one?
Wake up, developer. We have an OS to burn.
I suspect something involving law enforcement or legal. Still would love if LW admins updated on this.
Sigh. At least the benefits of federation include being free to move into other instances while LW can pull stuff like this (probably because they get the heat from being the largest instance).
There was the Moro Islamic Liberation Front in Philippines.
Doesn’t make him automatically correct however.
I fucking love my b/w laser printer. No bs, plug and print, nothing else.
It reminds of 90s almost utopian view of how internet will shape humanity.
I do wish there was an instance that becomes perhaps half as popular as Reddit did at its peak. Just barely enough so we can expose to opinions outside the typical young tech-enthusiast crowd.
It had enough eye candies for the casual market, but that was it. I still mourn for the death of IRC outside the tech-dev circles.

People make the same mistakes regarding chinese characters (older scripts or more “primitive” scripts equated to simple drawings and nothing else). 🤷
The fresh smell of MBA graduates.
There could be a software implementation that works perfectly fine on desktop PCs, especially Linux, but problem is hardware. I don’t see commercial smartphone manufactures giving access to ‘unauthorized uses’ like foss projects usually go around.
It really depends on where you are located. Some jurisdictions allow activation of SIM cards without personal info, some do not. Then there’s the matter of physical and financial surveillance.
But seriously, unless you are actually that desperate for some reason, why would you have a hobo pay for a burner phone? Wouldn’t that being recorded on camera be more suspicious?
Slow and steady wins the race.
Problem is, people rarely realize the importance until they’re lost. Plenty of posts from 90s and 2000s containing valuable insights are probably lost forever. Remember that not everything online is in English, either.
