For kids stuff I found stremio and torrentio to be easy if a bit convoluted to set up.

Ubuntu is Debian with extra steps.
Honestly I use Google family link. I know people on here are against Google but it just makes monitoring the kids easier.
I got my kid a rugged smart phone. It’s pretty locked down and whatnot because he’s young but unfortunately there’s no way I’m going to send him to Public school without a phone, just in case.
Personally I have no foxes for you, but these are issues I’ve never seen myself. Perhaps there’s simply something wrong with your install and a clean reinstall would fix things.
Garuda is great. It did get me addicted to the fish shell though and I’ve since moved back to windows for work reasons and I hate everything now.
All fandoms on the Internet need to live by this. Stop being so mad about shit.
As long as a gnome spin stays maintained. I’ve been using gnome for 8 years and I really don’t want to switch distros again.
I love a good personal library as a background for my video calls but honestly I do digital books cause I don’t have room.
The only good part of Reddit was dumb shit like this not showing up on my feeds.

I use deemix to get songs and jellyfin/finamp to listen on my phone. I do miss the discovery of new music from things like Spotify or YouTube music. If anyone has suggestions for music discovery I’d love to hear about them.
Drink up me hearties yo ho
Hosting my own with jellyfin has honestly changed my consumption of media.
I’d hop to this in a heartbeat. I do enjoy pop os and I’ve been looking for a reason to go back to Fedora since I’ve been on openSUSE for a while.
I’ve been using openbooks but I’d love to move to readarr for better management from mobile.
What sort of problems do you have with Fedora? I used it for years and my wife has been using it for a while with no complaints.
I’ve settled on openSUSE and Fedora. All my personal systems are currently on some version of openSUSE but zypper sucks so I’m considering the move back to Fedora. Oh and my son and wife’s laptops are on Fedora just cause I never moved them to openSUSE.
If you don’t want to mess with the surface kernel, I’ve had 100 percent compatibility with OpenSUSE Tumbleweed. No different kernel required on all 5 of my surface devices.
