I’m tired, boss.
I’m tired, boss.
Do yourself a favour, delete your account and never look back.
Once governments stop or reduce funding for the meat and dairy industries, prices will continue to go up and more people will be like you. At the end of the day, animal products (especially those from bovines) aren’t super sustainable and cost a lot more than we pay at the supermarket.
“who the fuck shit on the floor!?”
Wait, your heart and lungs stop when you sleep? 🤔
Yes! Love it!
You can even compile to a native executable these days I believe so you don’t have to have the .net runtime installed or bundled.
You guys are doing great!
At one point I watched a few videos about marvel films and the negatives about them. One was about how captian marvel wasn’t a good hero because she was basically invincible and all powerful etc etc. I started getting more and more suggestions about how bad the new strong female leads in modern films are. Then I started getting content about politically right leaning shit. It started really innocuously and it’s hard to figure out if it’s leading you a certain way until it gets further along. It really made me think when I’m watching content from new channels. Obviously I’ve blocked/purged all channels like that and my experience is fine now.
Plenty more bugs to fix, don’t give up being a contributor!
My process is:
There is still a chance someone might swoop in and fix it but this lowers the chances and it’s good to get into the habit of creating and linking Issues to your PRs.
Yep this is me. I love learning languages and I’m a software dev for my job.
I don’t agree with this one. The meaning of words change and that’s true of ‘Less’.
I generally don’t agree with these prescriptivist positions though.
Is it just me or does NJB sound increasingly pissed off in each video he releases? I mean, I get it but still.
Speaking of which, is there a r/fuckcars equivalent over here?
Nah, all good! This is the kind of discussion I have at work when we’re deciding what feature to implement or the nuances in the implementation so I definitely don’t see it in a negative way. In a week or so when I have more time, I’m going to see if I can put some time into helping fix bugs or improve the android app. It’s exciting to potentially be part of the group to shape the platform at these early stages!
Yeah these are all great points. It would definitely need to be workshopped to see if there are solutions to some of this or if other approaches are better.
My first thought would be that the top duplicate in the feed would be the one that would be shown (so based on up/down votes I guess). The others would be lower in the list anyway so you would only see those duplicates after the top one if they were there. Simply filtering them out and maybe having a way to show a list of duplicates on the visible one might be good. Then you could choose the comment section of the smaller duplicates of you want to read more comments or whatever. Still lots of unknowns but I feel like it could possibly work.
Later on there could potentially be an “exclude duplicate links” option which will automatically filter out the duplicate posts which contain the exactly the same link and show only the post with the highest interaction count. Unsure if that would be valuable enough to implement as a feature though.
Smart move, sounds like the resident ghost wanted quiet time.
A contract for a salaried position may say something like “you will work 40 hours a week but you maybe have to work some moderate overtime to complete tasks at certain times throughout the year.” (Probably better worded than that) but that means they can expect you to work overtime every now and then if there is a deadline or a project that requires it. But if its every week or an unreasonable amount of overtime per week then you should be compensated with time in lieu or extra money. It all depends on your contract.
