Not fond of this “both sides” attitude - you don’t see women threatening the safety of men: the onus is on men to ensure that women feel safe around them. It’s not enough to not hurt a woman, but to ensure the woman is always in a situation where she feels like you aren’t a threat. Don’t isolate her from a crowd as there is safety in numbers. Be confrontational against men who male her feel unsafe. Keep space so she doesn’t have to fear sudden movements from you. Etc etc etc. It’s work to navigate in such an environment, but it isn’t impossible.
If you want to engage with women on more equal footing, your enemy is the men who are making them feel unsafe, not the women for feeling unsafe. This is the only viable path forward.

Actually, earthquake magnitude can be projected to negative numbers. It’s well defined but it stops describing earthquakes. For instance, a -3 magnitude earthquake is the energy released by a cat knocking your cell phone off of a nightstand. (see page 290 of this book). Well, I don’t need it, not really. It’s just I’m finally in a position where I’m not stressed about things like rent and healthcare, and I’m realizing I wanna fuck around with hosting my own websites. Possibly a lemmy instance, I was toying with the idea of developing a P2P social networking protocol that federates with lemmy. But also the idea of building my own websites so I’m not dependent on others for my income, or just making it easier for people to download stuff that I’m the only seeder of.
Definitely not a need. My rent is paid, my food is healthy, healthcare is cheap. So now I can worry about stuff like this that ultimately doesn’t matter
