I personally have the skills (I hope so), but from the time standpoint it’s not as great nowadays. I also don’t want to write an app that would be used just by few people (the cards should also be separated by region, so even more people would be needed to start going).
When you sing up for such a card, do they usually check it? I can image some stores checking your ID the first time.
Yeah, but that you have to do that manually and share it among more people to be really secure. But yes, could be also an option.
I saw some pseudoviruses did that, interesting times 😵💫
If you own a recent Samsung device, definitely try One Hand Operations app - takes gesture navigation to a whole another level. One of my favourite apps.

The compromises hit quite hard. Battery life sucks, screen brightness in sunshine is horrible, and photo quality is not that great (as expected). I still like the toy aspect of it, can lay it anywhere I want, software is also quite good (but definitely not perfect). Fit in pocket (man) is also not perfect (as now key are under it and not next to it). Overall, I still like it, but if I got the money back, I would go back to a normal phone.
Git projects and system configs are on GitHub (see etckeeper), the reset is synced to my self-hosted Nextcloud instance using their desktop client. There I have periodic backup using Borg for both the files and Nextcloud database.
Won’t be the app back after a system update? 🤔
I always wandered what the battery life would be like on these devices
RHEL got worse, or everyone else got better?
The Outlook login wasn’t available, not sure if the Gmail login worked.
Oh, so this is why the birds sang at 3 a.m. today.
I have now installed FairMail (The f-droid version is constrained), OpenScan, and Kvaesitso, but not as many as I expected. But still, you want to have as broad range as possible while choosing the best app.
If you are new to FDroid, don’t forget to add the IzzyOnDroid repository - you will be able to install quite a few additional apps.
That’s looking quite promising. The main thing missing before being ready for me is filter/add by region and of course shop name. Then it can go out i think (+ give me a random code feature as the next step).
And make a new post with this, no one will notice otherwise (if you haven’t already)
