I’m usually pretty good with Tuesdays
Crime rates dropping in US, multiple companies working with NASA for ISS access, direct observation of gravitational waves, left reddit for Lemmy, multiple COVID vaccines in like a year from outbreak, more usage of renewable energy sources, etc. There are some obvious problems we need to get together and address as communities, countries, and species, but there are a bunch of improvements and advancements being made too.

Is the phalanx from marvel comics the same as the Borg but yellow and black instead of green and black?
Probably take a break for a month or two then look for some oss project or activism to participate in, play more music and video games, etc.

Hate requires you to consider them first competent with shared common values that inform their beliefs and actions. Otherwise it’s mostly pity and disgust that they have no values other than authority and loyalty like a criminal enterprise, and usually can’t tell if they are being evil on purpose or by accident/inaction/ignorance.
I think my second favorite thing about Star Wars is the moment in Luke’s hero’s journey when he goes from knight on an adventure to learning to forgive the most hated man in the galaxy when he’s standing on the walkway with Vader after he surrenders in rotj. I’m not saying he’s Shakespeare but he has some good ideas.

Not scary for the auto workers who want to work on them, build them, supply parts for them, etc or the families who want affordable EVs. More scary for the wealth class who didn’t reinvest enough into updating their facilities and processes to stay competitive businesses. The government already gave them extra time with the embargo but that isn’t going to last forever.
My two biggest are probably Sol and voids. I wish I could directly observe the phase transition as you approach the star’s core, understand it’s corona patterns and behavior, observe deeper to predict CMEs, etc it’s just so close and present in our daily lives and still very mysterious. For the voids I’m not sure maybe because it’s defined by its boundary more than its contents, but they are pretty common and some are huge and it’s just difficult to study something that is defined by its lack of something.
