Ugly socks?
Ugly socks?
TIL that is better having 2.0625" and 2.125" than having 2.1" 😜
Oh, right, inches are not divided by a sane number😉
2" / 3 = 0.666666666 Show me that point in you tape measure 😜
And both cases can be fixed by just skewing a little the tape (19 mm -> 21 mm and 2" -> 2.1". Close to 20°)
Or you can do a division and that’s it.
Except there’s an easy way to mark thirds: if you have a, let’s say, 27 cm wide board you take the measuring by skewing a little the tape and measuring 30 cm. You mark 10 cm and 20 cm and there you have it: a third of the wide. You don’t even need the precise measure. If you have something with proportional marks you just use it and you get a third no matter the width. It’s like a center finder but with thirds (or fourths or…)
I stopped using Windows in the XP era. Later on I started working in a job that required me to have a Win8 laptop. 2 years later I reverted back to Linux once I stopped working there and had Win8/10 as a game OS. But my main “serious” usage was on Linux.
Windows usage is decreasing every year. Slowly but… And it will reach a point where it will have not enough critical mass to be “THE OS” but “another OS”.
Only what I think it will be the “normal” progression.
If it ends up being too expensive, yes.
I don’t know if I’ll see it but in the future cars will be fully autonomous. And once every car can be autonomous human drivers will be banned.
It’s not the same. When you have a dog you use a leash and, if needed, you can restrain the mouth.
In this case you are not in control. And you can’t be. You are just a passenger. And you should have the same responsibility as a passenger in a train: none.
I guess it would be the car maker’s responsibility if you are only a passenger in the car.
The funny part will be once the car doesn’t have a driver and is full autonomous. If the car kills someone, who’s to blame?
The VCS is an old console, not a POS. When it was new it was state-of-the-art. About the Lynx, the catalog is not long. You can get all the games (76 in total and the max size is 2 MB) and try some. I’d say California Games, Klax, Batman Returns, Toki, just to name a few.
To me, Atari Lynx and Sega Dreamcast.
So much giant statues in India… Are they compensating something?
Not necessary. Imagine you begin suffering Alzheimer. And the artificial neurons are making a copy of your brain. Once a neuron stops working the backup one replaces it. Your mind, if it worked, could see the new neuron as part of the same brain and work with it seamlessly.
It’s kind of ironic that changing the battery of cell phones were so easy back then and so hard now and finding a battery saw/grinder/any-electric-tool was so hard then and so easy now.
